Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of Karibify, an online booking platform operated at karibify.com. By accessing or using Karibify, whether as a business owner or as a client making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

Karibify is operated as a personal business venture based in Jamaica. References to "we", "us", or "Karibify" in these terms refer to the platform operator.

2. What Karibify Is

Karibify is a self-serve booking platform that allows service businesses in Jamaica to create a public profile page and accept appointment bookings from clients. Karibify provides the technology infrastructure only. We are not a party to any service transaction between a business and their client.

Karibify does not provide any beauty, wellness, grooming, photography, or other services directly. All services are provided independently by the registered business owners on the platform.

3. Business Owner Accounts

3.1 Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old to register a business account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account may be registered per business. Creating multiple accounts for the same business is not permitted.
• Karibify reserves the right to refuse or terminate any account at its sole discretion.

3.2 Your Responsibilities as a Business Owner

• You are solely responsible for honouring all confirmed bookings made through your profile page.
• You must ensure your service listings, prices, working hours, and availability information are accurate and kept up to date.
• You must not list services you are not qualified or equipped to provide.
• You are responsible for communicating directly with your clients regarding location, specific instructions, or any changes to their booking.
• You must not use Karibify for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm other users or the platform.
• You agree to treat all clients with professionalism and respect.

3.3 Subscription and Payment

• Access to Karibify's business features requires a monthly subscription of $4,000 JMD after your free trial period ends.
• A 30-day free trial is provided to all new business accounts. No payment is required during the trial period.
• Subscription payments are made manually via bank transfer or Lynk. Details are provided in your dashboard billing section.
• After making payment, you must upload proof of payment through the billing section of your dashboard. Your subscription will be activated once the administrator has verified your payment.
• Subscription periods are 30 flat days from the date of verification — not calendar months.
• If payment is received and verified before your current period expires, the new 30 days are added to your existing expiry date. If payment is received during or after the grace period, the new 30 days begin from the date of verification.
• A 7-day grace period applies after subscription expiry. Your profile remains live during the grace period. After the grace period, your profile will be deactivated if no payment has been received and verified.
• Karibify does not provide refunds for subscription payments already verified and applied.

3.4 Referral Programme

• Business owners may refer other businesses to Karibify in exchange for free subscription months as described on the platform.
• Referral rewards are applied manually by the administrator upon verification that referred businesses have successfully registered and completed onboarding.
• Karibify reserves the right to modify or discontinue the referral programme at any time.

4. Client Bookings

4.1 Making a Booking

• Clients may make bookings without creating a Karibify account. All bookings are made as a guest.
• By submitting a booking you confirm that the information you provide — your name, phone number, and email address — is accurate.
• A booking is confirmed immediately upon submission. You will receive a confirmation email containing your booking details and a cancellation link.
• Karibify does not guarantee that a business will be available at your chosen time beyond what is shown on the platform.

4.2 Cancellations

• Clients may cancel a booking at any time using the cancellation link provided in their confirmation email. No account or login is required.
• Business owners may cancel a booking from their dashboard. You will receive an email notification if your booking is cancelled by the business.
• Karibify does not enforce any cancellation penalties. Any policies regarding late cancellations or no-shows are between the client and the business owner.

4.3 Payment for Services

Karibify does not process, handle, or collect any payments between clients and business owners. All payments for services are made directly between the client and the business owner by whatever method they agree upon.

Karibify has no responsibility for any payment disputes between clients and business owners.

5. Platform Rules

• You must not attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the security or integrity of the platform.
• You must not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform without prior written permission.
• You must not attempt to access another user's account or data.
• You must not post false, misleading, or fraudulent information on your profile.
• You must not use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm other users.
• Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice or refund.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Karibify is not liable for:

• Any service provided or not provided by a business owner registered on the platform.
• Any dispute, loss, damage, or harm arising from a transaction between a client and a business owner.
• Any interruption, downtime, or data loss affecting the platform.
• Any inaccuracies in business profiles, pricing, availability, or service descriptions.
• Any harm arising from your reliance on information presented on the platform.

Karibify is a technology platform only. We connect clients with service businesses. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of the services provided by business owners on the platform.

7. Intellectual Property

• The Karibify name, logo, wordmark, and platform design are the property of the platform operator and may not be used without written permission.
• Business owners retain ownership of any content they upload to the platform, including photos, service descriptions, and business information.
• By uploading content to Karibify, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform for the purpose of operating your profile page.

8. Termination

• You may close your business account at any time by contacting us at hello@karibify.com.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time for any reason, including breach of these terms, non-payment, or conduct we determine to be harmful to the platform or its users.
• Upon termination, your public profile will be deactivated. Booking records may be retained for a period in accordance with our data retention practices.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this document. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
