2.1 From Business Owners

When you register and set up a business profile on Karibify, we collect:

• Your email address and password for account authentication
• Your business name, category, location, and description
• Your working hours, working days, and minimum booking notice preference
• Your service names, durations, and prices
• Your profile photo and portfolio photos if you choose to upload them
• Your Google Maps pin link if you choose to provide it
• Your subscription status and payment history
• Your referral code and referral relationships

2.2 From Clients

When you make a booking through a business profile page, we collect:

• Your full name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• Any optional note you choose to include with your booking
• The date, time, and service you selected

We also store your name, phone number, and email address in your browser's local storage (on your device only) so that the booking form can be pre-filled for you on return visits. This data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to our servers separately from your booking.

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the platform, we may automatically collect certain technical information including your browser type, device type, and general usage patterns. This information is used to maintain and improve the platform and is not linked to your personal identity.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Business Owner Information

• To create and maintain your business account
• To display your public profile page to potential clients
• To manage your bookings and send you booking notifications by email
• To manage your subscription status
• To track and apply referral programme rewards
• To contact you regarding your account or subscription

3.2 Client Information

• To create and confirm your booking
• To send you a booking confirmation email containing your booking details and cancellation link
• To notify you by email if your booking is cancelled
• To share your name, phone number, and booking details with the relevant business owner so they can contact you regarding your appointment

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. How We Store Your Information

Karibify uses Supabase, a third-party backend platform, to store all user data. Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. Profile photos and portfolio images are stored in Supabase Storage.

All data transmitted between your browser and our platform is encrypted via HTTPS. We enforce Row Level Security on our database, which means business owners can only access their own data.

Client booking form data (name, phone, email) may also be stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device. This is controlled by your browser and is not accessible to other users or other websites.

5. Data Retention

• Business account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• If your account is closed or deactivated, we may retain certain records — including booking history — for a reasonable period for administrative and legal purposes.
• Client booking data is retained for as long as necessary to maintain accurate booking records for the business owner.
• localStorage data on a client's device persists until the client clears their browser data or the data is overwritten by a new booking.
• You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at hello@karibify.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of any inaccurate personal information
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational constraints
• Withdraw consent for any processing where consent is the legal basis

• Resend — email delivery for booking notifications and confirmations
• Google Fonts — font loading for MuseoModerno and DM Sans typefaces
